Unici Casa

Unici Casa is one of the leading Special Events locations in Culver City whose main focus is breaking the mold of what you expect at an event. Along with servicing a long list of A-List Clientele, they also throw extravagant Society Unici Events each month that focus on shocking the crowd and inspiring people to throw events that are different from the rest. One of WOVA’s most proud accomplishments is becoming the sole Audio Visual providers for Unici Casa. The most beautiful part of this relationship between venue and vendor is that we work together on coming up with innovative and modern ways to throw events.

Leading up to the Grammy’s PTTOW held their annual Pre-Grammy Social Event at one of WOVA’s most beloved Hotel partners, the beautiful Mr. C Hotel in Beverly Hills. This full day event was kicked off with interactive and captivating speeches and seminars from the world leaders of music such as the CEO’s of iHeart Radio, Capitol Records, Interscope, Live Nation and many more. The daytime speeches and seminars showcased the Corporate skills that WOVA has achieved over the years as we flawlessly executed numerous video switching cues and presenters that captured the attention of the audience. The evening portion showcased WOVA’s Concert and Special Event skills that we have achieved over the years. This was highlighted by the 50′ x 30′ projection of a live camera feed of artist Aaron Axelrod’s live art performance that WOVA projected on the entire wall of the hotel and captivated everyone at the party and every person passing the corner of Pico and Beverly.

11th Annual Desert Smash

A Charity Celebrity Tennis Event for Will Ferrell’s College for Cancer Charity. This star-studded event showcased WOVA’s ability to take on an all-day event in need of every type of Audio, Visual, and Red Carpet need. This annual event was kicked off during the day with Celebrity Tennis Matches consisting of stars such as Justin Bieber, Kevin Hart, Billy Bush, and of course Will Ferrell. One of WOVA’s greatest accomplishments for the Tennis Match portion of the event was successfully mic’ing the celebrities so that their live audio and trash talk could be shared with the entire crowd of over 1,000 people. The entire day of festivities was energized by one of the world’s biggest DJ’s, DJ Bob Sinclair. The evening portion was a jaw-dropping live concert lineup that would make Coachella jealous. The lineup included acts such as Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Justin Bieber. WOVA took on the responsibility of 3 other AV companies to provide all of the Audio, Video, and Lighting for this full day event. This included fulfilling the riders of each of these world-leading artists and tech’ing them from sound check to performance. WOVA did not only meet the expectation of our clients, we exceeded their dreams of how well an event could go. This is why WOVA is proud to say they have been given the privilege of being the AV providers for the 12th Annual Desert Smash.

Mclaren Celebration
'Racing Through
The Ages'

The McLaren Special Operations (MSO), with host guests Frankie Foti and Aldis Hodge, came together at the McLaren Beverly Hills to celebrate the ‘Racing Through The Ages’ Collection. The event celebrated the McLaren’s history as well as the unveiling of six one-of-a-kind vehicles.

Upon arrival guests were taken through a branded maze of McLaren sportscars and super cars, enhanced by 3D elements and an array of paneled walls with images from the iconic British brand. MSO showcased an entire selection of configuration items in the maze by displaying samples of paint, carbon fiber, and leather. In addition, guests were able to view and enjoy 50+ McLarens displayed in the parking lot, including a 600LT.

The grand reveal presented by Aldis Hodge in conjunction with co-host Frankie Foti featured a series of incredible magic tricks, from fog smoke to key appearances, designed to unveil each of the six bespoke MSO vehicles which had been until then disguised under black stealth sheets. In addition, guests were thrilled to see two McLaren Sennas and two McLaren F1 GTR displayed at the event as well as racing heritage  1977 McLaren M8E/F CAN-AM and O’Gara Motorsport Division 570 GT4.

During the event, guests enjoyed additional entertainment such as aerialist performers and video games by Microsoft Forza, which features a McLaren Senna on the cover. Guests also indulged in light bites and sipped signature cocktails by mixologist The Grand Bevy. Each molecular cocktail was inspired by the historical colors of the special edition cars as well as the technology behind them.

The Ronald McDonald Foundation Masquerade Ball, also known as Mac Tonight Gala brings the generosity, leadership, and service of honorable guests that help the foundation continue helping families. This year, the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald Charities of Southern California held the annual Mac Tonight Gala at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles with the creative design and production from Cobalt Events.

Nicole Hirsty and the team at Cobalt Events opted for a purple and fuschia theme to decorate the spacious venue. Black, round and family-styled, tables filled the room, along with golden chairs and dinnerware. Pops of color embellished the romantic ambiance with floral arrangements running each table. The bright blooms also held chandelier styled form to compliment the designs created by moving lights.

The night provided the fun you’d expect from a Ronald McDonald event with free masks for all guests to be a part of theme! Walking around the checkered floor, you will also find stilt walkers dressed in golden attired and their own colorful mask!

Mr. Chow's
Celebrity Wedding

Glamorous, grand and unforgettable – these words come to mind when we look back on the breathtaking event that was Michael Chow’s wedding.

Earlier this year, the famous restauranteur amicably known as Mr. Chow was married to his long-term girlfriend, Vanessa Rano, in an electric ceremony that was star-studded with familiar celebrity faces and lavish decor.

Our team was proud to have the opportunity to provide the lighting and to put our cutting-edge technology to work through a custom LED wall which spelled out the couple’s initials. Highlights include the sparkling ceiling filled with star-shaped mylar balloons and the dance floor kept lively by the performance by Wyclef Jean.

The reception is where the real party began. It was kicked off with a live Chinese New Year Celebration, in which a traditional Chinese lion dance dazzled the crowd. It was followed by tango-dancing and hours of boogying to the beat.

In three levels of celebration, the top level was adorned with some of the world’s greatest art, with the superstar artists themselves there for the celebration. Upstairs in the art gallery, an all-girl quartet sang heavenly melodies as guests perused the galleries until it was time to eat. Finally, the downstairs main event was where all the glitz came into action with a high energy dance floor and a cake as elaborate as the couple. Giant cakes by Lauduree towered high above the guests, and food provided by Mr. Chow himself kept everyone’s appetites at bay.

Gorgeous views from with the skyline building. With the bustling vibes of city life, Darius celebrated his Bar Mitzvah with much class and lots of festive decors. Planned by Becker Events, we are glad to have been able to be a part of this great celebration.

The theme held a fuschia and white color palette with floral decorations. All decor ensued the glamour brought by the family’s attire. Tables were decorated with bouquets of pink and white roses, each elevated on multi-layered racks. Candles peaked between the floral arrangements Similar to the bouquets, each candle gave dimension with variation in height. Elegance was secured with silver tables and chairs as the base to the gorgeous decorations.

The room was lit with a blue tint that shone behind a giant showcase of Darius’s name. Front and center, his name stood in white block letters, to be seen as the band played. A disco ball and digital bubbles stood surrounded the dance floor as guest enjoyed music and celebration in this blue array.
