Audio Conversion
Audio is transferred using high-quality tape decks and turntables. We offer transfers from LPs recorded at 33, 45, or 78 RPM. Noise removal and tracking are also available. After your audio cassette or LP has been digitized it is cleaned and filtered by removing hiss and other sound imperfections such as pops or clicks common with LP’s. In the case where there are several deep scratches on the LP the final output will not be quite as clean as a well taken care of record. The filtered audio sequence is then down sampled to 44 Khz/16 bit for common CD audio compatibility across all platforms. The final audio stream can be kept as a single track or segmented into multiple tracks such as a commercial audio CD. Prior to placing the audio sequences on CD there are additional filters which may be applied such as stereo enhancement or equalization including others.
